WE'RE GONNA NEED A MONTAGE

Wouldn't it be great if someone could pull together a montage of some of the random funky development patterns that all those oddball town planners & all those kooky urban designers are coming up with these days? Especially in the Florida area?
Yeah, it would be great and you already know its ready and waiting for you.

  1. Time to leave a comment like a lone bungalow in an empty cul-de-sac. Rather beautiful these and somehow moving - especially the ones with the one or two homes huddled together against the void.

I also like the way the roads seem to be finished in most cases. I'm fairly sure that the roads are one of the last things to be finished in British developments but the ones in these pictures remind me of how, when life drawing at school, I'd start with the shoes. I like drawing shoes so would concentrate on them and by the end of the lesson have a perfectly drawn portrait of shoes and little else. My portfolio was full of shoe drawings. I imagine some of the developers in Florida feel the same way about road layouts.

Incidentally, I know what you mean about reserving comments for the website you've linked to, but there are hundreds of comments over there ... and that's why you'll always find me in the kitchen at parties.
